Happy Thanksgiving 2016

While the video is title "Easy Way To Prepare a Turkey" actually it is more like the Rube Goldberg method of cooking (and obviously, the video is for entertainment purposes only...don't try this at home.)

This is unique as I have not see a craft like this before for Thanksgiving.

Much of the stuff you could pick up at the Dollar store and would be a fun craft for a group of children to make.  You would write someone's name on the leaf "tail" with a Sharpie pen and use them as place setting for Thanksgiving.

• Tootsie Pops
• Paper leaf or colored paper cut into the shape of a leaf (or a real one if it would be sturdy enough)
• Hershey Kisses,
• Red Pipe Cleaners
• Googly Eyes
• Glue (or perhaps hot glue for older tweens and up)
• Orange craft foam or construction paper (for the nose)
• Ribbon for the bow tie

"Planes, Trains and Automobiles" Home for Sale

 The home that Steve Martin's character Neal Page tries so desperately to get home to in time for Thanksgiving, including reluctantly teaming up with loudmouth Del Griffith (portrayed by John Candy)  in the 1987 comedy "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" is currently for sale.   The house is featured at the very end of the movie when Neal Page arrives home and in the spirit of Thanksgiving, invites Del Griffith to join him despite all of the grief he has put him through.

Chicago Now indicates it is located at 230 Oxford Road, in Kenilworth, IL for $1.7 million and that the  "6-bedroom home has three full and two half baths, a 3-car garage on a 90 x 160 lot within two blocks of Lake Michigan" along with the prior listed and selling price.

A Creepy Thanksgiving

It it not even Halloween yet, but when you go to the store the aisles are full of Thanksgiving and Christmas items, so why should blogging on the internet be any different?

In this case it is short film starring and written by Ellen Page, the star of "Juno" and few of her friends having her over for dinner entitled "A Crappy Canadian Thanksgiving".

If your friends invite you to dinner and ply you with liquor, then ask you to hold a bunch of carrots, it is time to run when they ask you to put an apple in your mouth!
