DIYHans Solo Frozen in Carbonite Fridge
This was posted on Facebook by Art Gallery and a guy in sharing his new shop fridge, which would be fun for many Star Wars fan Man Cave, playroom or garage (and perhaps a DIY for the freezer in my garage, if my son ever gets the monster tires off of his big truck moved out),
As it looked like it was a DIY I went in search of more information and found the following video on Youtube that explains how to make this:

Star Wars as Winnie the Pooh Characters
Artist James Hance has and adorable collection entitled ‘Wookie the Chew’ which turns Star Wars characters into Winnie the Pooh ones.
My favorite is the one below with the classic honey pot on Pooh's head reimagined as a stormtrooper helmet.
The artist also has color t-shirt versions available on his website here.

Not Your Typical Box of Candy for Valentine's Day...
When I saw this furry-edged box sitting amongst the standard heart shaped boxes I had to do a double -take to see what it was.
Jack Links Beef Jerky has the above featuring their infamous mascot "Sasquatch" on the front holding rose and the box contains 1.25oz of their product, so you are mostly paying for the fun packaging.
With a little creativity, you could probably easily turn Sasquatch into Chewbacca, the Wookie from "Star Wars" and call the contents Wookie snacks.
The above was $6.99 at a local Kroger affiliate for which is about half the price they are for sale for currently on Amazon for $13.87 if you are in the market for something a little different like this.

STAR WARS LIGHT SABER FIGHT...BY WIENER DOGS
Just when you think there is nothing new that can be created involving Star Wars, the internet proves your wrong.
The video has two dachshunds a/k/a wiener dogs, because their bodies are long like a hot dog, battling it out in cute Luke and Darth Vadar outfits and special effects light saber and what must have been many takes and dog treats with heavy editing to accomplish even a short video.
This is from an entire channel of wiener dog videos titled Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund that has many more creative videos of dachsunds in costumes and scenarios that you can check out here.

Star Wars Planet Hoth Wampa Cake
This is one of the most inventive cakes I have ever seen. Clever mom Jill at Kitchen Fun With My 3 Sons created this fun Planet Hoth Wampa cake for her son's 6th birthday using pretzel rods and white chocolate for the walls on top of the cake along with action figures.

FREE SPOOKY STAR WARS SOUNDS MP3 DOWNLOAD FOR HALLOWEEN
If you want to add some spooky yet geeky background music for your Halloween, The Official Star Wars blog has a free spooky download on their site that runs for around 18 minutes.
The downside is that you would need to have Quicktime Pro in order to save it; however, I downloaded the free version of Quicktime 7.7.1 (you can Google Quicktime 7.7.1 & free) and just played it from my computer.

Star Wars Themed Cake and Cupcakes

Picture via Bridepop
I have been to one "Star Wars" themed wedding and heard of several other with wedding vowed being adapted to such things as vowing love "In sickness and health, for better or worse and may the force with with you".
What would could be a more perfect confection for such an occasion than this AT-AT Wedding Cake with Ewok Cupcakes posted over at Bridepop. The cake was made by a pastry chef friend of the bride and the details on it are intricate and amazing, although one commenter pointed out continuity problems as "there is no evidence to indicate that Admiral Ackbar or Mon Mothma were ever in Hoth". There always has to be one party pooper in the bunch that has to destroy science fiction with science fiction facts, especially if they are die hard Starwarians or Trekkies.
Those Ewok cupcakes are adorable and could be even be made for a Star Wars themed birthday or just and afterschool treat. I am thinking some German Chocolate frosting, melted chocolate, choclate chips and some bite-sized Oreos on some cupcakes would be easily DIYable.
