DIYHans Solo Frozen in Carbonite Fridge

This was posted on Facebook by Art Gallery and a guy in sharing his new shop fridge, which would be fun for many Star Wars fan Man Cave, playroom or garage (and perhaps a DIY for the freezer in my garage, if my son ever gets the monster tires off of his big truck moved out),

As it looked like it was a DIY I went in search of more information and found the following video on Youtube that explains how to make this:

Recycle/Shredding of a Fridge

Ever wonder what happens to a fridge when it goes to the recycling center?  Wonder no more, because above is a video of one being torn to shreds and being separated by different components to be reused.

When my son was in grade school he and his friends were fascinated with the watching the big equipment in the recycling yard and the machines in action,from a distance outside the gate, when we would drop off cans for recycling and to get a little cash to have breakfast or do something fun for the day.

As non-employees were not permitted behind the gate and the boys were more curious about seeing the process more up close, I Googled and found  SSI Shredding Systems"Shreds of the Week" of different objects so they could see the process literally inside the machines.

They also have channel on Youtube where the above video is from and they show shredding of all sorts of objects, from cars to carpets and many things in between if you want to see more:)

Halloween Finds for $10 and Under

Target has a Halloween decorated Glow-In-The-Dark Soft Soap and ghosts and Jack-O-Lanterns decorated toothpastes in "Wicked Watermelon", which are a fun and festive way to encourage kids to wash their hands and brush their teeth.

Walmart has the following and you can order online and have shipped to your local store to pick up for free.

Halloween Spider Chandlier for $4.44  
I would have called it a "haunted" chandelier as there as the only spidery thing about it is the webs, but an easy way to creep up a room and as it is made out of cardstock, it should be easy to disassemble and store for next year.

You can frighten up a fridge with this plastic overlay full of ghastly contents.  (Downside it is not magnetic so you have to tape it up).

 Inflatable Ring Toss Spider Game for $6.97
This cute fella that can be used for a decoration is double duty as it is also a ring toss game











Bloody Weapons Garland for $8.97
I love this unique idea and as it is made out of flat plastic, it would be easy to store (but this might also be an idea to DIY and make it more 3D, especially if you had two trees outside and could string a clothesline between them and also add some bloody looking clothing).


Above all, don't forget Dollar Tree, where everything is $1.

Items available vary from store to store, but if you are looking to buy  in bulk (usually a case of 36 items) you can order most of the items online at Dollar Tree.
