While these look like the shell of an exotic sea creature, they are actually sculptures by Japanese artist, Noriko Kuresumi 

The details and textures with the contrast of smooth shapes make them interesting to look at by every angle.

The artist statement is:

"The sea is the origin of life.

All lives are connected and have been supporting each other.

I create my work by imagining the source of harmony and balance of the ocean."
