Happy Dogs and Cat in Australia

A friend posted this on Facebook and it is probably the most fun version of any video mashed up to the tune of Pharrell Williams "Happy"

It features oodles of dogs playing at the beach along with "DIDGA" aka 'Worlds BEST Skateboarding Cat', but you won't see DIDGA skateboarding here, but is does sit on a tiny surfboard and swims.

This is not only a cute display, it is also marketing to feature pets that were available for adoption.

DIY DOLLAR STORE DOGGY VEST

Ericka at Sew Doggy Style and her dog Sebastian are crafting along with Project Runway All-Stars and she made the Michael Jacksonesque looking vest out of Metallic cleaning towels, a headband, aluminum foil, coffee, a coffee filter, zip ties and safety pins.  He looks like he is getting ready to moon walk!

Beam Me Up Fido - USS Enterprise Dog Costume

It looks like this dog is being a good sport about boldly going where no man has gone before.  It doesn't surprise me in the least that this USS Enteprise posted at Blastr consists of cardboard from a frozen pizza and beer cans.

BEWARE OF COCOA SHELL MULCH IF YOU HAVE PETS

I received an e-mail from a former co-worker about the above and I checked it out on Snopes
and it is partly true because it contains caffeine and theobromine in the shells and if the animal likes it and eats it - it can cause symptoms from nausea and vomiting for small amounts to seizures and death if a large amount is ingested.

It does sound like from the article that it is rare that a dog or other animal would ingest enough to become lethal (only one dog of record has died from it) and that the some brands may wash most of the chemicals out before processing for mulch - just something to keep in mind when selecting mulch.

For further details see the article at Snopes.
