CD Garden Border

Photo from Fave Crafts

I spotted this fab idea via Fave Crafts posted by Mary Talalay, a writer for Kiwi Magazine.  One commenter thought it looked tacky, but I think it looks geeky nerdy cool and would be a great way to use up old AOL or other CDs you have lying around.  If you think them being shiny is what would make them tacky, you could spray paint them black or white to make them more sedate and traditional (but not nearly as fun).

Building a Better Mousetrap...Making It Into A Mousetrap Car

Our Mouse Trap Car from Michelle Mitton at Scribbit on Vimeo.

I am not a fan of mousetraps per se as they seem inhumane, but the use of this mousetrap, along with 4 old CDs, 2 pens, 2 bolts, string and 6 balloons to make a mousetrap car is so McGuyerish that it rocks.
