WORLD KIDNEY DAY

While this sounds like another excuse for a greeting card, today is actually a day to educate people on the function of kidneys, kidney disease and taking care of your kidneys.

Your kidneys are two bean-shaped organs that are about the size of your fist and filter waste products and extra fluids from your blood, help regulate your blood pressure and produce hormones that regulate your metabolism and red cell production.

Below are two infographs with more information on kidney disease and care of your kidneys along with the link to the World Kidney Day site.

Take good care of your kidneys, so they can take good care of you:)
