9 Halloween Songs For Kids

Ghoul morning and welcome to day 17 of Countdown to Halloween!

Today is a listing of 9 songs for kids for Halloween:

What Am I Going to Be For Halloween

This was a promotion back in the 90's for McDonald's around Halloween and a cassette tape of the song was one of the prizes in a Happy Meal and probably my son's favorite one as a child.  He played it repeatedly and would sing along.   Although he is an adult now, I still remember most, if not all of the words to this song.

Monster Mash

This timeless 1962 classic

One Eyed One Horned Flying Purple People Eater

Originally a novelty hit in 1958, it was Halloween favorite when I was a kid an still as strange and catchy today.

The Witch Doctor

How can a kid not love Alvin and the Chipmunks?  This is another ditty from 1958 and my Mom had bought the album and we listened to it all the time when we were kids.

Thriller

You can't go wroing with this  Michael Jackson classic featuring the prince of horror movies, Vincent Price, as a narrator.

Ghostbusters

"Who You Gonna Call?"theme song for the movie "Ghostbusters" is upbeat and danceable, yet still has a spooky theme.

The Addams Family Groove

Another movie theme with a hip hop beat my MC Hammer is very catchy and even if kids don't get the lyrics, they like to sing "The Addams Family" part.

This is Halloween

Yep, another movie theme song..this one is from Tim Burton's "A Nightmare Before Christmas"

Monsters in the Bathroom

Although not a top 40's tune, is entertainig for kids.
