Fashion statement meets technology in a Necomimi

Necomimi is a cute pair of kitty ears paired with a neuron sensor on the forehead to sense brain wave activity and depending on that activity, the ears respond in one of three ways...they perk up if you are focused, wiggle up and down when you are happy and droop when you are relaxed.

While they are adorable, due to the technology the price tag is a steep at nearly $100.  Instructable's user abetusk  has contructed  a similar looking pair for around half the cost and posted the tutorial here.
