Seasonal Handprint Quilt

This was spotted over at a blog that I follow From Glitter to Gumdrops and it is an amazing quilt a friend of hers made which feature kids handprints decorated to represent different seasons.   I am trying to figure out a way to bribe talk my nearly 18 year old into doing hand prints on fabric so I can make a quilt like this for a wall hanging in my bedroom or heirloom quilt.
