Wonder if it is a Devil's Food cake?
I would never advocate doing Voodoo for real, but a "Voodoo" cake would be the perfect thing to serve a friend who has someone in their life that made them miserable to take out their mental anguish on, then enjoy a delicious dessert to perk up their spirits.

Very cool cakes, thanks for posting! Just snagged the book off Amazon, definitely doing the gravestone cake for Halloween or maybe the Voodoo cake...hmmm can't decide...maybe both!
