If you can't become a crazy cat lady due to landlord/city zoning restrictions, you can still help out cats and other adoptable animals this Holiday Season by donating to the ASPCA.
They also have links to animals that can be adopted locally, but before gifting any animal, but be sure that it is wanted and the recipient is willing to make a long term commitment to their new member of the family.
