Over at Go Fug Yourself they thought this gown the Milla Jovovich wore at Cannes looked like a " very old sea creature has ambled onto the mainland and slurped and usurped her flesh.".
I think it looks more like a couch covering drapes that you would find in a thrift store - nothing wrong with thrift store goodies - just don't belong in a gown at a fancy event. It is like Giselle from "Enchanted" ended up in an alternate universe and landed in Uncle Buck's apartment (Uncle Buck being the John Candy movie where he portrayed the the title role) and ended up having to cut up his couch and curtains for her gown. Added evidence of this is the "Shrek" ears on her bosom.
