"THE JIM BEAM TREE"

A former co-worker, who's daughter is studying to be a biologist, forward the above video to me and she indicated that the video actual footage by a French documentary maker about Africa. 

I don't know any French, but my friend was told:

"There are trees that grow in Africa which, once a year, produce very juicy
fruits that contain a large percentage of alcohol.

          Because there is a shortage of water, as soon as the fruits are ripe, theanimals, big and small, belly up
          to the bar."

Thus, the tree has been nicknamed "The Jim Beam Tree".
