Camera company Ricoh has a new product called Theta 360 for taking 360 degree pictures with a single shot  that you use with a PC or Smartphone.  

While this looks like it would be fun to use, it is not a cheap toy; in checking prices, it runs around  $350 but  currently is slightly lower $346.95 on Amazon.   I can also see many practical applications from realtors using it to photograph rooms a home to police and crime scene investigators documenting crime scenes,
